Individual Plant Treatment and Method 240SL

Method 240SL herbicide may be used to treat undesirable woody plants using individual plant treatment (IPT) methods in vegetation management sites transecting areas grazed by livestock. Control with IPT applications are often more effective than broadcast treatments, reducing the risk of off-target herbicide movement and reducing costs under the right conditions when compared to broadcast treatments.

Supporting Wildlife Habitats with IPT

Selective IPT applications (versus broadcast treatments) are proven to protect important wildlife habitat and encourage the development of native grasses and forbs. Additionally, Method 240SL mimics effects on the plant’s own enzymes and blocks the growth of plants by interfering with the hormonal balance, benefiting insects and other wildlife by removing non-native weeds and brush, while allowing beneficial native plants to flourish.
