Product Overview

Rezilon® herbicide brings first-of-its-kind chemistry to the range and pasture market and can be used on established bahiagrass and bermudagrass fields. Its unique mode of action in this market provides effective, long-lasting control of troublesome weed species, even those that are resistant to other herbicides, such as glyphosate.

Controlling weeds before they emerge is often more effective than controlling them once they have been germinated. Rezilon is a pre-emergence herbicide that contains the active ingredient indaziflam, a long-lasting residual compound that provides extended weed control other products cannot match. This translates into increased quality and production from the fields you and your animals rely on.

Key Benefits

  • Consistent, long-term weed control: Rezilon is a pre-emergence herbicide for annual grass and broadleaf weed control. It is labeled for use in warm-season Bermudagrass and Bahiagrass hayfields.
  • Increased hay quality: When Rezilon is applied according to label directions, growers could see higher-quality forage on their first cut as a result of controlling annual weed species present.
  • Long residual activity: Rezilon should be applied well before weed emergence. Once applied, it can sit on the soil surface for some time with no degradation from sunlight while waiting on rainfall for activation.
  • Wider application window: Applications can be started as early as August and into the following spring as a result of extended residual weed control.

Use & Control

  • Rezilon should only be applied to fields that are well-established (at least one growing season). Treatment prior to complete canopy cover may delay fill-in of the grass stand by restricting new stolon growth from rooting down into treated soil.
  • There are no grazing restrictions for fields treated with Rezilon. However, animals grazing heavily in an area treated with Rezilon may disturb the soil surface and have a negative impact on weed control. An example of this would be animals feeding around a hay ring.
  • There are no harvest restrictions for hay when treated with 3 fl oz/A. If higher rates are used in a single application, hay cannot be harvested until 40 days after application.
  • Fields that have been treated with Rezilon cannot be seeded with winter forages (such as ryegrass or clover) used for winter grazing until 18 months after the last application as their germination and growth may be adversely affected.
  • Other crops species may not be planted until 22 months have passed since the last application of Rezilon.
  • Hay harvested from fields treated with Rezilon may not be sold or shipped to countries that do not have established maximum residue levels (MRLs) for indaziflam-treated hay.

Species Controlled

Rezilon controls more than 60 broadleaf and annual grass weeds, including:

  • Sandbur*
  • Crabgrass
  • Ryegrass
  • Goosegrass
  • Annual foxtails

* Split applications/full rate needed for optimum control

Always read and follow label use directions, restrictions, and application and stewardship requirements. See the product label for the full list of weeds controlled.
